We want to provide clear and accessible information for different target groups.

Accessibility Statement

Our goal is to provide digital services that are accessible to as many people as possible. In this accessibility statement, we explain how the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (in Finnish) is implemented on the tyokanava.fi website. We also describe the deficiencies in the site’s accessibility and how you can provide us with feedback and suggestions for improving the site’s accessibility.

This accessibility statement was published on April 3rd, 2023, and has been updated on June 7th, 2023.The description of the site’s accessibility is based on an assessment of the site’s accessibility by Työkanava and an external expert organization.

Accessibility of the service

The service meets the accessibility requirements to a great extent but is not yet fully accessible to all users.

The shortcomings are categorized into these topics:
• perceivable
• operable
• robust

Perceivable

There are headlines in the service that are not marked as headings
The service contains bold text that functions as a heading but is not programmatically marked as such. (1.3.1)

Heading levels do not follow the hierarchy consistently
There are pages in the service where heading levels do not adhere to the hierarchy and fail to structure the content logically. (1.3.1)

Some inputs lack features that support inputting.
The service includes inputs that do not assist the user in filling out information. (1.3.5)

The service does not handle text enlargement to 200 percent in all situations.
On mobile, not all functionalities remain usable, and content readable when the text is enlarged to 200 percent. (1.4.4)

Operable

Uncontrollable movement
The logo in the header contains an animation that the user cannot stop. (2.2.2)

Keyboard and assistive technology focus are not always logical
The keyboard and focus order are not always logical for the user. In some situations, on mobile, the keyboard and assistive technology user may unintentionally navigate to the beginning of the page or the main content from the menu. (2.4.3)

Robust

The service contains elements with the same ID.
Some elements in the service have the same IDs, which can hinder the functionality of assistive technologies. (4.1.1)

Success or failure of form submission is not always conveyed to assistive technology users
In some situations, assistive technology users do not receive information about the success of form submission or incorrect fields. (4.1.3)

The service meets the accessibility requirements to a great extent but is not yet fully accessible to all users.

Report the shortcoming to us by sending an email to this address info@tyokanava.fi. Please indicate which page you are referring to and describe the problem as accurately as possible in your message.

If you notice an accessibility issue on our page, please provide us first with feedback. It can take up to 14 days for us to respond. If you are dissatisfied with the response or do not get a response in two weeks, you can announce us to the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland. Opens in a new tab. It is clearly stated on their website how to make the announcement and how it is processed.
